AUSTRALIAN Formula One driver Mark Webber, along with New Zealand Indy Car driver Scott Dixon, have been named in the top 10 world's best drivers in a list compiled by AutoSport Magazine.
The latest issue of the British publication ranks Dixon eighth and Webber ninth among the world's top 50.
Formula One stars Kimi Raikkonen, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso fill the top three placings, followed by rally drivers Marcus Gronholm and Sebastien Loeb.
Indy Racing League (IRL) champion Dario Franchitti is the first United States-based driver at seventh, followed by Dixon, who finished second in the IRL this year.
Webber finished 12th for Red Bull in the Formula One drivers championship.
While there was no specific formula by which drivers from across different series could be judged, the list was subjective and determined by the staff at AutoSport.
Among the elements the magazine took into consideration were the consistent level of performance attained, the competitiveness of the equipment at the drivers' disposal, and the overall competitiveness of the championship.

Although the list dosn't really mean much
and Lewis is 2nd, yep he's a good driver with a few wins under his belt however, he was in one of the best cars and, he's only been on the World stage for 18 months
