The new nation-based racing series is due to start in September 2005. Based in Dubai, it will run during the winter months when there is no F1 going on.

Surtees had already agreed to help out the British team while Jones will be involved in the Australian outfit, along with veteran F3 boss Alan Docking.

The teams will be run on a franchise basis; so far, nine countries have agreed to participate including China, Lebanon and South Africa.

What is the full list of countries so far? I'd love NZ to have one but I doubt it would happen mecry.gif

looks good, and at least this looks like it will happen unlike the premier 1. It will be good to see some racing over the winter, and if they can run it like this in A1GP, why cant countries use the teams, and have an olympic event.

Motor racing shouldn't be in the olympics. Team sports like Hockey, basketball etc (even though they can be fun to watch) shouldn't be in the olympics either.

It will be interesting to see how it all turns out, especially as its launch coincides with the F1 season...........I wonder if we'll get it on regular TV. I doubt it.

There are already a few signed up but no NZ isnt one of them!!

Sky have already bought the rights to it, hence the Sky Sports logo on the car. If they are putting money in to it I think it's a safe bet.

Have you ever seen Mr Big Lips himself Mick Jagger???? he was the lead singer of the Rolling Stones!!! blimey these are even pre me!!! but i do know them and not a huge fan!! laugh.gif laugh.gif like i dont understand te huge hype in te Beetlea nd Elvis!!! ok im gonna get a slappin for that and i guess you have to have been there at te time but i really dont see the big thing in them!!! laugh.gif laugh.gif :rolleyes:
